Clare McManus

Commissioner of the Community Photography Projects, Look at Me! Images of Women & Ageing Project

Clare is director of Eventus, a cultural development agency that uses the transformative power of the arts to make a difference to people and places. Originally trained in mime and theatre in Paris, Prague and London, she toured in small scale theatre for 10 years. She has extensive experience in delivery and consultancy in the arts, with a particular interest in arts and health, social inclusion and cultural planning. She has particular expertise at partnership working with organisations outside the arts world and at embedding the creative arts into mainstream agendas.

Her work has been referenced in national initiatives and publications from Arts Council England, The Scottish Executive, Department of Culture Media and Sport (DCMS), Local Government Association (LGA), and English Heritage. Clare is a Board member of several third sector organisations and a Mentor and Expert Advisor for the Heritage Lottery Fund.
